success stories
Gyorgy joined as a transfer student halfway through his apprenticeship. His previous training provider had closed down, leaving him in a challenging situation. We were committed to helping Gyorgy succeed, so we worked closely with him to finish his training and prepare for his final end – point – assessment.
Gyorgy’s hard work and dedication, combined with the support of our team, led to a fantastic outcome. He successfully completed his apprenticeship and is now a valued member of the Southco Manufacturing team. We’re incredibly proud of his achievement and the positive impact he’s made on our company.
Gyorgy’s success story is a testament to the importance of perseverance and the power of teamwork. It shows that even in the face of adversity, with the right support and determination, it’s possible to overcome challenges and achieve great things. We’re honoured to have been a part of Gyorgy’s journey and look forward to seeing him continue to thrive in his career.

Level 5 Audio Visual Apprenticeships
Our Level 5 Audiovisual apprentices recently had the opportunity to deepen their skills in a hands-on training session at our Derby offices. Under the guidance of their experienced tutor, Nik, they participated in a classroom-based session that covered the theoretical aspects of their field. Following this, they put their knowledge into practice by setting up a live podcast. This practical exercise involved the configuration and connection of various technical components, including cameras, lighting systems, sound equipment and live systems.

Safeguarding
At Blue Lion Training Academy, we prioritise safeguarding as a fundamental aspect of our commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment. We believe that by teaching our students about personal safety, boundaries, and healthy relationships, we are not only protecting them from harm but also empowering them to make informed decisions and advocate for themselves.
Safeguarding in the UK is crucial for several reasons:
- Protection of Vulnerable Individuals: Safeguarding measures are designed to protect children and adults who may be at risk of harm due to abuse, neglect, or exploitation. This includes physical, emotional, sexual, and financial abuse.
- Prevention of Harm: By promoting awareness of safeguarding issues and providing support to those at risk, safeguarding initiatives help to prevent harm before it occurs.
- Promotion of Well-being: Safeguarding fosters a culture of care and respect, promoting the well-being of individuals and communities.
- Compliance with Legal Requirements: In the UK, there are specific laws and regulations that govern safeguarding practices. Adhering to these laws is essential for protecting vulnerable individuals and ensuring accountability.
- Building Trust and Confidence: When individuals and communities feel safe and protected, it helps to build trust and confidence in institutions and organisations.
