A short, intensive programme designed to introduce learners to the core technical and industry knowledge required to begin a career in music production, audio engineering and the wider music industry.
This qualification carries UCAS points, supporting progression into higher education, apprenticeships or industry roles.
The Level 3 Certificate in the Creative Music Industry provides learners with an introduction to music production, studio recording and the structure of the modern music industry.

QUALIFICATION & PROGRESSION

Once enrolled Learners will receive their timetable and an overview of what the next 12 weeks look like as a brand new student. All learners will attend an introduction lesson on site and will be given a synopsis of the course contents and expected submission deadlines.
The Level 3 Certificate in the Creative Music Industry introduces learners to the core practical skills used in music production, DJ performance and studio recording.
Through a combination of hands-on studio work and guided learning, students will explore how music is created, mixed and performed in professional environments.
Studio Sound Mixing: Learn the fundamentals of mixing music in a studio environment. This includes understanding signal flow, balancing tracks, using EQ and effects, and shaping the overall sound of a production to achieve a polished final mix.
DJ Skills: Develop the core techniques required for DJ performance. Learners will explore beat matching, track selection, transitions and live performance techniques using industry-standard DJ equipment.
Remixing & Production: Gain an introduction to remixing and music production techniques. Learners will explore how existing tracks can be reworked creatively while developing skills in arrangement, sequencing and sound design.
