Whether starting or changing career paths, this apprenticeship will provide learners with the foundation knowledge & skills required to work in an office/business environment. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative serviices engaging with multiple departments across the organisation.
Responsible for supporting and engaging with different parts of the organisation and interacting with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, the role of business administrator contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required allows the apprentice to develop a wide range of skills.
The business administrator is expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity – showing a positive attitude. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills. The business administrator is also expected to show initiative, managing priorities and own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.

Functional Skills
All learners will complete an initial assessment in Maths & English as part of the enrolment process. For apprentices aged 19+, completing Functional Skills is no longer a mandatory requirement of the apprenticeship programme.
However, we offer an outstanding teaching and learning programme in Maths & English for anyone who wishes to develop their skills further, and our tutors are here to support you every step of the way.

Off The Job Training (OTJ)
All apprentices are required to complete a set number of Off the Job Training (OTJ) hours over the duration of their apprenticeship. New government rules have made this so flexible , with the removal of a weekly requirement giving you the freedom to spread your OTJ hours in a way that works best for you and your employer.
