Running for a Cure: Sam’s Great North Run for The Brain Tumour Charity
This September, our Continuous Improvement Tutor, Sam returned to Tyneside to take part in the Great North Run—11 years after he first crossed that finish line with his wonderful mum, Marie, cheering him on.
Sadly, she passed away in 2019 after battling a brain tumour, and this year he ran in her memory, raising funds for The Brain Tumour Charity.
It was an emotional and meaningful experience, and Sam is incredibly grateful for the support he received from colleagues and friends.
Every donation helped make a difference in honouring her legacy and supporting vital research.
“The Brain Tumour Charity are committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.”
“We’re set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change.”
